Exciting fast growing and very aggressive species. The Manica Rubida is known as europes largest stinging ant. The Queen unlike other species will often leave the nest to hunt along side its workers. • Humidity requirements: 50-70% • Temperature requirements: 21–24°C • Hibernation: October-March at 5-8°C • Suggested housing: Acrylic, Ytong, Soil, Very adaptable species. • Nutrition: Sugars from honey or sugar water. Protein Insect such as fruit flies, mealworms. • Colony size: 5000+ (colonies can grow extremely rapidly. • Queen size: 11-13 mm • Worker size: 6-9 millimeters • Monogyne/polygyne: Polygyne (Can be multiple Queens per colony but this happens when the colony reaches over 3000 workers) Warning: Carry a strong sting so handle with care!
